Our Services

Behavior Evaluation & Diagnosis

We diagnose behavioral psychologies and create individualized management and training plans t help you and your dog overcome adverse behavioral problems. We also work with your veterinarian to address any underlying medical conditions that could be contributing to the challenge and discuss the appropriate use of behavior medication.

Behavior Modification

We’ve worked with numerous dogs suffering from anxiety, and fear-based aggression including dog-dog reactivity, dog-dog aggression, shy and nervous dogs and dogs with handling sensitivities. Every training program is designed to fit you and your dog’s individual needs. We also offer systematic desensitization programs for families with fearful dogs who are about to welcome a new member into the family.

Positive Reinforcement Training

Private one-on-one training, in the home, ensures you have the tools you need in the environment you need them in. We use positive reinforcement to help recondition/modify problem behaviors and build better relationships between pets and their families. For families who want to take their training to the next level, we also offer peer to peer, private classes that cover the fundamentals of learning theory, support problem solving and empower owners to apply the techniques they learn to trick training and free shaping.

TTouch Massage (coming soon)

Tellington Touch (TTouch) is a gentle, hands on method of training that utilizes a combination of massage - touches, lifts and movement exercises – and positive reinforcement to help release tension and increase body awareness. As part of a training program, it has been proven to speed up learning and increase self-confidence with cases of excessive barking/chewing, leash pulling, jumping, aggressive behavior, extreme fear and shyness, resistance to grooming, excitability, nervousness, car sickness and problems associated with aging. It can also be utilized to assist in the recovery of illnesses, and old injuries.

Cat Trains Dogs is a behavioral rehabilitation and training consultancy. We work closely with pets and their owners to understand the underlying causes of behavioral problems and how best they can be treated.

We understand that not every dog gets the best start in life, so we created Cat Trains Dogs to help support dog families in the rehabilitation of pets with problem behaviors. Our goal is to reduce the number of dogs relinquished to shelters by providing education and training support.

What Our Clients Say

Adoption

Looking to Adopt an Animal?

Not every animal gets off to a good start in life. Many are born and raised in environments where dogs are a breeding commodity and not considered as a family member. We advocate for those animals and do what we can to give them a second chance at life.

That’s why we work with local organizations like 8285161494, a local nonprofit who specializes in rehoming abused, neglected and senior dogs who are being given away by their owners on social media - Dogs, who by no fault of their own, have found themselves unwanted because they are no longer puppies or have developed medical conditions that their families cannot afford to care for. Please take a look at these loveable pooches and consider adopting today. We offer Brindle Posse adopters 1 x free behavioral evaluation/ consult and in-home training session.

Frequent Questions

No, you don’t need to register.

You will need to fill out an application form and meet with one of the staff. Please email brindleposse@gmail.com with your contact details and the name of the dog you’re interested in adopting.

You will need to provide character references, the name and contact details of your veterinarian, and your landlord.

Do your research. It’s important you understand the nuances of owning the breed you are interested in and whether it will fit into your current lifestyle. Many of our pets have come from neglectful and abusive homes, so some training may be required to ensure a smooth transition.

All Brindle Posse’s animals are spayed/ neutered, up to date on shots, and treated or fleas and ticks prior to being available for adoption.
